The round table is arranged to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Institute for African Studies and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Group of Gender Studies.
The Round Table is expected to consider such problems as the history and modern development of certain groups of African society, African diasporas outside the African continent (USA, India, New World countries), groups and practices of mutual assistance and self-organization in African countries, Russia / USSR relations with North African countries in 18th – 20th centuries, the sociopolitical development of Southern Africa, the development of mass media in Africa, Africa and globalization.
