Veronica Usacheva took part in the 74th Annual Midwest Political Science Association Conference held on 7-10 April in Chicago (USA). Veronica Usacheva presented a paper on “Image of Africa in Post-Communist Russia” and served as discussant at the session on "Information, Media and Legitimization in Post-Socialist Countries)", as well as chaired the session on "The Nature of Post-Soviet Capitalism and the Political Economy of Reform".

The 2016 conference includes over 1200 sessions with nearly 6500 presenters from throughout the United States and nearly 70 foreign countries.
